Cleaning and maintenance of your hearing aids

Cleaning spray

Deep cleans and disinfects your hearing aids, custom ear tips, ear protectors and other related accessories.

Instructions for use

  • Turn off the device: Remove the batteries or take the devices out of their charger.

  • To apply: Spray the product onto a soft, clean cloth. Never spray the product directly onto the device.

  • Clean: Gently wipe all surfaces of the device.

  • Dry: Allow to dry completely before reinserting batteries or recharging your devices.

  • Recommended frequency: 2 to 3 times per week for a deep clean.

Anti-itch cream

Soothing formula specially designed to relieve irritation caused by prolonged use of hearing aids.

Instructions for use

  • Prepare: Remove your devices, then thoroughly clean and dry your ears.

  • Apply: Place a small amount of cream on the irritated area.

  • Massage: Gently rub in until fully absorbed.

  • Please wait: Wait a few minutes before putting your devices back in.

  • Recommended frequency: As needed, as soon as itching or irritation appears (maximum 1 to 2 times per day).

Natural lubricant

Facilitates the insertion of hearing aids and reduces friction in the ear canal. An ideal formula for sensitive skin.
 

Instructions for use
 

  • Prepare: Place 1 to 2 drops of product on a clean finger.

  • Apply: Spread the lubricant evenly on the dome or tip of the device.

  • Insert: Immediately place the device in your ear. (Note: Excess product will disappear naturally.)

  • Recommended frequency: Every morning upon insertion, or as needed if discomfort occurs during the day.

Gel for hearing aids & hearing protection

Makes inserting your hearing aids and earplugs easier while preventing irritation. Enriched with aloe vera, it moisturizes the ear canal for optimal comfort throughout the day.
 

Instructions for use
 

  • Prepare: Place a thin bead of gel on the tip of your clean finger.

  • Apply: Gently spread the gel on the tip or dome of your device (or your protective cover), avoiding blocking the openings and sound outlets.

  • Insert: Immediately place your device or protector in your ear.

  • Recommended frequency: Every morning upon insertion, or as needed during the day to relieve friction.

Drying capsules for hearing aids 

They absorb moisture and effectively protect your hearing aids from damage caused by condensation and perspiration.

Instructions for use
 

  • Install: Place a disposable pad in your storage case, avoiding any direct contact with your devices.

  • Store: Place your devices in the case each night and close it tightly for optimal protection.

  • Monitor: Replace the pad as soon as it turns beige (wear indicator).

  • Recommended frequency: Replace every 4 to 8 weeks depending on ambient humidity, or as soon as the color changes.

Cleaning wipes

Ideal for quick and effective daily maintenance, these impregnated wipes clean and disinfect your hearing aids and their tips without damaging the components.

Instructions for use

  • Prepare: Take a wipe out of its individual sachet (or box) and unfold it.

  • Clean: Carefully wipe all surfaces of your device, the tip or the dome to remove earwax and impurities.

  • Dry: Allow the device to dry for approximately one minute before placing it in your ear or storing it.

  • Recommended frequency: Once a day, preferably every evening after removing your appliances to prevent residue buildup.

Nozzle cleaners

A solution specifically formulated to dissolve earwax and remove impurities from rigid or soft ear tips, ensuring impeccable hygiene and optimal sound transmission.
 

Instructions for use
 

  • Separate: Gently disconnect the earpiece from your hearing aid (caution: never immerse the electronic part in liquid).

  • Soak: Place the tip in the cleaning cup containing the DiaCare solution and leave for the recommended time (usually 15 to 30 minutes).

  • Rinse and dry: Remove the nozzle, rinse it with warm water, then dry it thoroughly (ideally with a blower bulb to remove moisture from the tube) before reassembling.

  • Recommended frequency: 1 to 2 times per week to avoid earwax buildup and maintain peak performance.

Domes

The domes are the soft silicone tips that fit into the ear canal. They are essential for your comfort and to ensure optimal sound quality from your hearing aids.
 

Instructions for use
 

  • Removal: Grasp the earphone and gently detach the old dome.

  • Clean: Wipe the end of the earphone with a soft, dry cloth to remove any residue.

  • Install: Slide the new dome onto the dome, pushing it firmly until it is fully engaged.

  • Check: Make sure the dome is properly fitted and that it is not likely to come loose in your ear.

  • Recommended frequency: Replace every month, or as soon as they become damaged, harden or uncomfortable.

Hearing aid dehumidifier

A hearing aid dehumidifier is a device designed to remove moisture and perspiration accumulated during the day. It prevents oxidation of electronic components, extends the lifespan of hearing aids, and reduces the risk of infection through the use of desiccant capsules or a thermal system.
 

Instructions for use
 

  • Remove: Take off your devices in the evening.

  • Clean: Wipe them gently with a cloth or suitable wipe.

  • Ventilation: Open the battery drawer (for models with disposable batteries).

  • Drying: Place them in the case and leave overnight.
